Our Story
A Mission Rooted in Healing and Integrity
From a young age, much of my life was spent in hospitals and doctors’ offices; not as a provider, but as a patient. Those early experiences shaped me and cemented a truth I carried into adulthood: I was meant to work in healthcare. I didn’t yet know what role I would play, only that I wanted to help people heal.
My career path unfolded gradually, each step adding clarity, and ultimately led me to become a nurse practitioner. When I entered wound care in my first NP position, I quickly discovered a specialty that felt both meaningful and uniquely suited to me. I found deep satisfaction in caring for patients with complex wounds and a natural aptitude for the detailed, hands-on work the field requires. It became clear that wound care was more than a job; it felt more like a calling.
That passion, combined with the opportunity to partner with Steve, opened the door to something larger. Together, we saw a chance to fill a real need in our community while allowing me to return to the work I love most. EHS was created to bring ethical, compassionate, evidence-based wound care to Eastern Idaho, delivered with heart, integrity, and clinical excellence.
We have tremendous confidence in the skills and experience that guide our care, as well as in the advanced modalities we will use. We believe our success will come from the measurable, objective outcomes of our patients. When people heal faster, more completely, and with fewer complications, that is the truest reflection of the quality and integrity of our work.
We also recognize that every patient’s situation is unique. Our ability to provide both office-based and home-based wound care gives patients flexibility and choice, adding a level of convenience, accessibility, and patient compliance that the Eastern Idaho market has not previously had.
Finally, we value the strong relationships we build with our referring providers. Open, consistent communication and true collaboration are at the heart of our approach and will continue to set us apart. Every decision we make centers on doing what is medically right for the patient and working closely with everyone involved in their healing journey.
In short, our purpose is to deliver exceptional wound care defined by ethical practice, clinical excellence, transparent communication, and objectively demonstrated outcomes; and to make that level of care accessible to the Eastern Idaho community we are a part of.
